For aspiring college students who have an Arabian blood, a foundation named the National Arab American Medical Association is providing a student grant worth $1,000. With their goal for a greater impact through their charities, they are running several projects to support causes.
For their NAAMA Foundation Student Scholarship project, they are offering this to two competent students who came from an Arabic decent who is currently or will enroll in a Canadian or U.S. dental, osteopathic, or medical school.
The amount provided by this scholarship might be spent on tuition at an offline university or applying to an online degree program related to their chosen course, and other school expenses. To improve the quality of education given to the successful candidate, they are allowing them to use the money for additional programs such as an online degree program to further enhance their ability.
To be eligible in receiving this scholarship, you must possess the following qualities:
- Have an Arabian blood
- Studying in U.S. or Canada
- Enrolled in a medical, dental, or osteopathic school.
Since the award offers a generous amount of $1,000, the foundation wants to filter the candidates to get the most deserving student. Also, the fund is just limited to two people every year, so the competition to qualify is more stringent. The candidates will be evaluated based on their financial needs and previous academic performance.
To apply for this scholarship, the candidates is required to submit the following documents/requirements:
- Accomplished application form.
Note: If the question does not apply to you, fill it with “N.A.” instead.
- Recent or current 1040 federal tax return
- If you are dependent on your parent financially, submit their latest 1040 federal tax return.
The required documents should be typewritten when submitted. All of the requirements are necessary in order for the NAAMA board to evaluate your financial need.
All applications must be submitted on or before July 1, 2018 to qualify for a student grant next school year. To assess all of the successful applicants, the Foundation Board of Trustees gathers every September and pick the successful candidate for the student grant.
